Summary of chapters 4-7 of 'Twelve Pillars' and
explain how these concepts may be applied in my life.

4th Pillar

The fourth pillar, discussed in Chapter 4 of "The Twelve Pillars," talks about the importance
of having goals. It suggests that when you write down your goals, your mind becomes more
aware of them, which is the first step in achieving them. The key idea here is that the main
reason for having a goal is not just to achieve something specific but to become a better person
in the process. So, it encourages us to decide what we want to do and start working towards it.

Chapter 4 taught me techniques to keep my mind sharp and focused on my goals. It reminds me
that writing down my goals and taking steps towards them, even if it seems tough at first, will
ultimately be worth it.

5th Pillar

Moving on to the fifth pillar, discussed in Chapter 5, it's about recognizing that every day
offers opportunities, but we must choose the best ones that align with our long-term goals.
The chapter emphasizes that discipline is much lighter to carry than the heavy burden of regret.
It encourages us to prioritize our time and spend it on things that truly matter rather than
getting caught up in urgent but less important tasks.

Chapter 5 reminds me that if I don't make daily efforts toward my big goals, I'll end up
regretting it in the long run. It encourages me to plan my days in a way that contributes
to my overarching objectives.

6th Pillar

Now, let's talk about the sixth pillar from Chapter 6. This one advises us not to surround
ourselves with people who don't challenge us to improve. Instead, it suggests seeking out
those who have high expectations and demands because they push us to grow. It's important,
to reflect on the influence of the people around us, what they make us read, say, and think,
and how they perceive us.

Chapter 6 reminds me of the saying, "You are the average of the five people you spend the
most time with." It encourages me to build friendships with people who add value to my life
and motivate me to do better.

7th Pillar

Finally, the seventh pillar, discussed in Chapter 7, highlights the difference between formal
education and self-education. It tells us that formal education helps us make a living, but
self-education is what makes us wealthy. Self-education involves continuous learning, which
sets us apart from those who stop learning after formal schooling. The chapter stresses that education
is the foundation of wealth and encourages us to read books as a valuable source of knowledge.

Chapter 7 teaches me that self-education is the key to success and wealth. It emphasizes the
importance of learning continuously, not just from formal education but also from books,
articles, and various sources of knowledge.
